Creating documents
You can create documents in Kronodoc several ways depending on what you want to accomplish. For information about creating subdocuments, see Creating subdocuments.
To create a document without files or URLs attached:
- In the navigation pane, select the parent folder where you want to create the document.
- In the ribbon, in the Document group, click Create. The Create Document menu appears.
- Click Blank Document. An empty document property page appears.
- Click options or type values using the descriptions in Viewing and editing document properties.
- Click Save. The document's complete property page appears. You may now use any of the commands on the document that are described in Using document commands.
To create a document from an existing file on your computer:
- In the navigation pane, select the parent folder where you want to create the document.
- In the ribbon, in the Document group, click Create. The Create Document menu appears.
- Click Upload File. A page appears with which you can select and upload files. The page that appears depends on your active Default upload type option described in Configuring user interface settings.
- When the files have uploaded, an empty document property page appears.
- Select or type values using the descriptions in Viewing and editing document properties.
- Click Save. The document's complete property page appears. You may now use any of the commands on the document that are described in Using document commands.
To create a document from a template stored in Kronodoc:
Note Performing this procedure is only possible if templates and their folder structure have been configured within the workspace by a system administrator. Otherwise, the command is not available.
- In the navigation pane, select the parent folder where you want to create the document.
- In the ribbon, in the Document group, click Create. The Create Document menu appears.
- Click From template. A new browser window opens and prompts you to select a template document.
- Continue as described in Creating a file from a template.
